Boundary Disputes

When owning a property, it is important to know the location of the boundaries and who is responsible for these. The deeds of the property can provide these details, but on occasions the actual boundary positions may have been altered following the construction of an extension or other building and in some instances the boundary fences themselves can have been relocated.

Boundary Disputes are stressful and the opinion of a Chartered Surveyor is usually needed to provide clarity and allow arguments to be laid to rest.

David Hamilton is a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Recommended Neighbour Dispute Surveyor and can help neighbours agree on boundary positions, based on the property deeds, ordnance survey maps and site measurements, as well as providing reports for solicitors in matters of disputed boundaries, rights of way and means of access.
